Late entries may only be accepted at the discretion of WCAA and may not be included in the event program. If you must cancel, and do so by April 1, 2024, you will receive a refund. Cancellations after April 1, 2024, are not refunded and become a donation to the Arts Alliance.
Please note: WCAA will not collect or remit sales tax, this will be each artist’s responsibility.
Electricity is not available. Wi-fi is not provided.
Art in the Park is a Juried Show. Artists are required to submit two (2) photos representing examples of their original handmade artwork and (1) photo of their fully set up booth display. Photo images may be uploaded here, emailed to kate.gurganus@wcart.org, or mailed, for panel review. If not accepted, exhibitor will be notified by April 7th and the application fee returned at once. Exhibits must be ORIGINAL / HANDCRAFTED BY THE ARTIST. No yard sale or manufactured items, please.
Booth Reservations: All Booth spaces are outside, approximately 10’ x 10’. The Arts Alliance will host an artists’ hospitality area for your enjoyment. Booth sitters are available during the event. You are responsible for promoting your own work. One Artist Fee: $75; 2 Artist Per Booth: $100.
Artist’s check-in and set-up is between 6:00 am and 8:00 am on Gamble Avenue on Saturday morning.
Art in the Park committee will award Best of Show to the artist that the judges score highest overall. We will award 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place ribbons in each of the nine categories. Only original artwork will be judged. Plan to submit one item the day of the show per your category above by 8:30 am.
GENERAL RELEASE: The undersigned does hereby and forever discharge Walker County Arts Alliance, Inc. (WCAA), Bevill State Community College, City of Jasper, Jasper City School System, all sponsoring organizations and their directors, officers, employees, agents and volunteers of and from all manner of actions, suits, damages, claims and demands whatsoever in law or equity from any loss or damage arising out of or in conjunction with applications to or participation in Art in the Park, presented by WCAA, which is not responsible for any injury sustained by exhibitors or guests while within spaces designated for exhibits or at large. The undersigned has read and complies with all rules, and further agrees to release photography rights to WCAA for use in promotional materials and on their website. The WCAA reserves the right to remove from display any material or work that it deems offensive, at its discretion, and WCAA reserves the right to make booth assignments/changes up to and including the day of the show.
